Workshop Assistant Operative
Due to the steady growth of the company and expansion plans in place, we are now seeking to expand our workshop team. Immediate starts available, warehouse experience will be helpful but is not necessary. We are a small but rapidly growing family run business located on Market Overton Industrial Estate and would like to welcome a new staff member into our team.
Main Roles and Responsibilities
The position will involve assisting with the basic assembly and production tasks whilst maintaining a tidy and safe warehouse. After the new machines are built, you will be required to help test each of them and assist with palletisation before they are sent to dispatch. Duties will include helping with servicing equipment and assisting the team where necessary with production and servicing tasks.
Full training will be given across all aspects of the company to give a solid understanding of the business’ processes, as well as in the use of our computer system. A fork lift license would be a bonus but not a necessity.
Additional requirements
· Use of hand and power tools on a daily basis.
· Assisting with technical/ troubleshooting problems.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations placed onsite.
· Mechanically inclined individuals with prior experience, or experience in small electrical and engine driven machines are preferred.

Essential Criteria
· Experience in assembly is essential but training will also be provided.
· Experience or interest in electrical/mechanical machinery or engineering will be essential.
· Candidate should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.
· Mechanically inclined individuals
Desirable Skills
MIG or TIG welding of mild and stainless steel tubes and flat (Training can be given)
Ability to work on small petrol engines
Ability to produce quality parts within a timeframe.
Setting up machine parameters
Interest in CNC production methods and machining
2D & 3D CAD Design Skills
Maintain Health and Safety within the workplace
Hours: 8:00-17:00 with 30 minute lunch break
