Material: Key-steel bar stock (medium carbon steel to BS46 / DIN6880 recommendations)
Application: Tight fitting key between engine or gearbox shaft
Usage Notes
Ensure the keyway dimensions (width and depth) in both the shaft and the hub match the keysteel size to guarantee proper fit and full contact area. A loose or undersized key may transmit inadequate torque or lead to early failure. Replace the key if show signs of wear, scoring or deformation.
