Understanding Pressure Loss in Your Hose

When water travels through a high-pressure hose, some pressure is lost along the way. Longer hoses and smaller hose diameters create more resistance, which means less pressure reaches your nozzle. Working at height also affects performance, because the machine must push water upwards against gravity.

This calculator helps you estimate:

  • Pressure lost through hose friction
  • Pressure lost or gained from height differences
  • Total pressure at the nozzle
  • Water speed inside the hose

Enter your flow rate, hose length and hose size to get an accurate estimate for your setup.
